I’ve Always Been a Photographer…

I’ve always been amused by this photo. A few months ago, my Mom was kind enough to scan it for me and send it to me. I let it linger in my email for just the right time. Today, I decided it was time to update my About page over at the wedding [...]

Getting Things Done – Week 1 (The Beginning)…

No, I’m not going to write about this daily, but I think a weekly update will be in order – at least for the first 30 days – or the first 30 days of each habit. First up? Getting my tasks out of my head and into a system so I can tend to them.
After [...]

Getting Things Done…

While in Seattle, I picked up Mandy & Korey’s copy of Getting Things Done by David Allen. (Don’t want to read the book but wondering what I’m talking about? What is GTD? might help.) While a lot of it is probably common sense, I had a lot of headsmack moments. The first few chapters I [...]

Sunset over Seattle…

Wrapping up our time in Seattle, and I’m definitely going to miss it. We were lucky last night – the mountain was out, the moon was full, and we arrived at Kerry Park overlooking the Space Needle and the skyline just in time for sunset. It was incredible!
Lots more photos to come, but [...]

Seattle…

I just wanted to take a moment to gush about how fabulous Seattle is, from the city to the weather to the people. I never want to leave. Mike is being asked at least once an hour by Jason or I if we can move here forever and ever.
Photos coming soon, if I can stand [...]

Knitting Olympics Selections!

I’m heading off to Seattle, and since I’ll be there when we cast on for the Knitting Olympics (or the Ravelympics – whatever), I have opted to select my knitting project beforehand so I can take it along with me.
And the winner is …
(Drumroll…)
The February Lady Sweater!
Knit out of Red Cascade 220, in color #9404. [...]

It is a Tweet Life!

I was interviewed last week while in San Francisco for the latest article on Twitter in the Houston Chronicle; it ran in the paper edition on Sunday, August 3, 2008 in the Star section. It was pretty exciting to be featured with Houston’s Twitterati, although I’m still cracking up over the caption under my [...]

One of My Favorites!

Your Vote?

The Knitting Olympics will be upon us soon, so I need to choose a project to knit! Something that will be a challenge to knit within 17 days, that will push me – but not something that will push me to the point of giving up. We don’t want that. Since I’ll be traveling during [...]
