Is it a wonder that people think that Americans are idiots? Goodness, what ARE they teaching in schools now? Or at least at Kellie Pickler’s school — someone needs to go find her former teachers and give them a headsmack too. Good God.
By the way - who the heck is she? Other than the local idiot? “I don’t think France is a country.” I want to weep.

Not knowing what country Budapest is the capital of? Forgivable. Not knowing that France is a country? Um… wow.
I don’t know who she is either, but I hope that whatever charity she’s working for has someone to handle her.
From American Idol, I think. Not that I ever watched that show. We stick to Dancing with the Stars around here.
She is a pretty succesful Country Music artist and was on American Idol.
I am really not surprised that she didn’t think France was a country, I’ve heard worse things from the other contestants on that show. Also statisticaly I have read that most American Kids can’t find the USA on a map of the world.
So I don’t think it’s just the school she went to, but all public schools that need a little extra geography.
She was on American Idol with, I believe, Carrie Underwood. She’s a country singer now.
The more she opens her mouth… the scarier it is. I showed it to Sam - he said people like that make him sick - people like that VOTE in this country. They help determine ALL OF OUR fate. Oy.
Very scary…I chocked at the “I thought Europe is a country” remark.
Yeah, she was on American Idol the year Jordin Sparks won…I think. This made me cringe. Every time her mouth started to open I winced for her!! Thank goodness she can sing!

she was funny when she was the guest spokesperson on Leno, where she asked questions to random people on the street.
I saw this episode and couldn’t believe what I was hearing. I actually did a search for, “Is Kelly Pickler really that dumb?” Apparently, it’s up for debate - some think it’s a show, some think it’s really. Whatever it is, it’s appalling. Entertaining, but appalling. 
Oh, Pickler. I hated watching American Idol when she was on because she hurt my brain.
She is dumber than a box of rocks.
Oh god that’s appalling! I could only hope that never airs outside this country but I have a feeling it’s too late for that, it’s on YouTube. hehe.

Well, I have no room to talk. I am totally stoopid when it comes to geography. Then again, I didn’t go to school. So…LOL!
Kelly was a contestant the season that Taylor Hicks won American Idol. She is actually a rather successful country singer right now. She grew up in Albermarle, NC — definitely hicksville.
