Postponed.

Surgery is postponed. It seems that having a Hemoglobin of 7.7, when about 12.2 is normal, is not an advised way to go into surgery. I’m officially quite anemic. Too much of a risk for a need for transfusions, and just my body is too weak in general.

However, we need to stop the bleeding – obviously – before it gets even worse. So the possible solution for that? Lupron. Chemical menopause. Once my cardiologist approves, that is. Good thing I have a pre-op appointment for tomorrow with her, although it is going from a pre-op appointment to a “what is ok to do next” appointment.

I am *so* over all of this. Sigh.

I’m not kidding, go get that stuff – Floradix Iron and Herbs – you can get it at Sun Harvest of Whole Foods, just get it. Take it. And if you come to town, I have some soup for you. Trust me on the anemia thing. Thinking about you.

Oh Christine. I had no idea. I rarely came here anymore b/c we were on dail up and it just took “years” to load, but now that I am on HS I keep forgetting to stop by. I just saw your photo of your “new friend” and was shocked. Please know you are in my prayers, and I’ll make a point to keep checking back.
