I’m gearing up now to go and take formal engagement photos today for this couple, after catching this one just over a week ago down in Galveston. I was at the Tremont taking photos with Shelley when I heard crying/squealing/laughter behind me. I turned around and started shooting. This was the first photo I caught.
He had just proposed. She had just said yes. There were many kisses and hugs after this, and it made Shelley & I a bit misty-eyed. I can’t wait to see them again today!

love it..they were lucky it was you taking the photo’s and catching that moment..also glad they were receptive to you..some people just aren’t so appreciative..glad it was good for all..I love candid photo’s..good work..
Now are we going to catch you lurking about the trees?

I love this story! How great that they will have pictures right when it happened- gives me warm fuzzies just thinking about it.
We were lucky when we got engaged that someone came on the beach right after and was so excited to take our pictures. (There was no one around before and right when he asked me.) I love those pictures- we look so happy and slightly shocked- both of us.
