Does My Foot Make this Slipper Look Fat?

Posted on March 23, 2006 by Christine | 5 Comments

I showed Jason my new slipper last night (I’ll be finishing the pair today) and he told me that he thought it was a little bit too big. I’m not sure why? *grin* (It is going to be felted, and it will shrink in the process.)

It is actually cold here right now – by my standards at least – so I figured if I knit these up really fast and get them felted, I might get to wear them a little bit before the heat comes back! Yeah! Cold weather!

These are going to be so cute! Where did you get the pattern?

I’m amazed at how quickly I’ve acclimated to Houston weather: last night I turned the heat on! And if I were in MN, I’ll be wearing shorts!

I love those little ballet slippers – please post a pic when they’re felted. I just finished some felted slippers for my husband. He has size 15 feet, the pre-felted slipper was big enough to be a sleeping bag for my five year old daughter!
I’ve finally finished my hourglass sweater, but had a major blocking malfunction – I may need to felt that as well! If I don’t laugh about it, I will cry.

To echo LIsa — those slippers are so cute! I’ve never seen felted ballet slippers. And it’s ‘winter’ again in San Antonio, too — although I’ve got dandelions the size of small trees in my backyard…..

Is that the fiber trends pattern? I have that and the felted clog pattern waiting for me to get over this whole sock obsession.
