SNOW!!! WE HAVE SNOW!!!

Posted on December 24, 2004 by Christine | 25 Comments

As we left to drive to my parent’s house, I saw it. I stood beside the car, very confused – it took me a minute to figure out what it was. Then I realized … it was SNOW!!! We got SNOW!!! Snow, snow, snow! I made Mike get out of the car so he could watch it with me. I photographed it (see the Flickr photos in the sidebar), of course. I’m so giddy – we have snow!

By the way, it’s not an amount of snow that you can measure. It’s a dusting of snow. But I don’t care … we have SNOW for Christmas! Wheeeee!!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO EVERYONE! From Houston, with the rare Christmas snowfall!

I made a call on my cell phone to Houston last night, and look what happened. (For real, I did… I didn’t plan on it snowing, though … that was G-d.)

So Happy Christmachanukwanzaasolictivus, from Michigan … and you can keep the snow. Please. :)

Dale and I are in Houston for Christmas. We were pretty surprised to see it snow on and off all day. Of course, it didn’t start to stick until after the sun went down. The latest weather report said we could get anywhere from 2″-5″ overnight!

This is apparently the first measureable amount of snow in Houston since 1989. And, apparently, it’s also the first White Christmas Eve in recorded Houston history!

IT’S SNOW! My kids (including hubby) had a snowball fight!! However… I swear that as the first flake landed on the satelite – we lost our Dish!! I got hubby a new surround sound system thingy for christmas and before we can even set it up, we find out that we will be without satelite for 4 days!!! THEN I try to post my bitch on my blog and ITS GONE! So, of course, I had to run over here to bitch (right after I signed up with BlogMoxie, that is).

So… hope your christmas is better than mine so far! :)

Merry Christmas! Mike is in Toronto with lots of snow and I am here in Florida w/ dreary rain, but I’d rather have that than tropical sun on Christmas! I want snow on Christmas so bad I think I’d cry if it snowed. Have a great one! ~Lauren

You know … I think there might be more snow down there than there is up here in ND … and that’s crazy. It did snow overnite and it’s snowing again today, but we still don’t have that much snow up here … especially for this time of year. But I’m not complaining … :)

There was a dusting at our house. Out by Katy people were able to make small snowballs. It didn’t creat any problems which is good. It is warm again…about 70 degrees by Monday.

we had enough to build a snow man and have snowball fights at Michael’s grandparents…and my cousin in Angleton said they got 8 inches! apparently the further south it was the more snow that fell!

I’ve never seen people freak out about snow so much in my life. perhaps that’s b/c I lived in Michigan for 23 years. Boy’s dad said, “it’s a blizzard!” uh no.
