Where Are the Flowers and Balloons?

Posted on September 27, 2004 by Christine | 15 Comments

I finally changed my sidebar on my birthday. In the past, I’ve been known to change it sometimes days or weeks later, but this year I decided to do it right away. Wow, 35. It sounds a heck of a lot older than I feel. I always knew it would though – I think everyone reaches a point in their adult life where numbers don’t matter anymore. It’s more about who you are than what number is associated with you.

I’m in a melancholy mood, and I don’t know why. I guess it’s coming off of being sick, my throat is very scratchy today. Maybe it’s having a birthday on a Monday. No birthdays should be on a Monday. They should all be on weekends. I don’t know why I feel this way – but I do know I’m going to do whatever I can to kick the feeling. It’s no way to start off a new year!

We went out to dinner last night with my parents and had Baskin Robbins ice cream cake for dessert afterwards at my parent’s house. Yummmmm… Today I have lunch plans with my Mom, and dinner plans with Mike and Jason before they head off to Scouts. For now, I think I’ll go curl up on the sofa and try to finish my book.

I know, 35 is weird, isn’t it? I feel like I’m impersonating a grownup a lot of the time….anyway, happy birthday!
