Oh, I SO need one of these! Actually, I just need a laptop desk in general and no one seems to sell them. :(

Like a stand for the laptop? A sort of mini-desk, so you can use it while sitting at the couch? Or something that looks like a breakfast tray that goes over your lap and holds the laptop? I’ve seen those somewhere before … hmmmm… I’ll let you know if I find them!

Yeah, that’s what I’m looking for. I’ve seen them before – they’re sort of cushiony on the lap side and hard on the laptop side. I’ve looked all over the place and the closest I could find comes with a little battery powered lamp sticking out of it that wouldn’t work for a laptop.

i have one of those… it’s like hard one the top and squishy on the bottom and it feels like a loose beanbag (filling).

I’ve got a lap desk that I got in 8th grade or something. It’s a hideous fabric (pastel green with sheep on it) but it’s the most wonderful thing in the world for the laptop.

    here’s a whole bunch of them http://www.stacksandstacks.com/html/product505_0.htm

(if you google “lap desk children” you come up with way more choices, and more affordable choices than googling just lap desk.)
    sorry such a long comment…
