To Make a Short Story Long…

Wedding Blog…

January30

Originally, I was going to set up a wedding blog. I realized yesterday, while composing my long wedding post, that I actually don’t want to blog about wedding plans separately. I would prefer to keep them here, all in one place. We are still going to set up a wedding site with information for our guests, but it won’t be in blog format. Then again, I loved checking out Erika’s wedding planning blog, and reading Bridefoo over the past few months has given me great ideas and made my planning easier already. I guess I need to make sure all wedding related posts are in the same category? That would make it easier in the long run and there wouldn’t be a need for another blog. Decisions, decisions … I worry about the little ones probably more than the big ones!

Actually, we were going to register a cookie and coffee themed URL (something like cookieandcoffee.com) but haven’t registered it. Instead we have ChristineandMike.org and MikeandChristine.org - yes, we registered both. I’m a certified domain junkie!

Tell me about being a domain junkie…I think my husband and I own around 50 for no good reason other than we are web junkies :)

Ha, yeah, it seems like all the good domain names are taken. But I like bigpinkcookie.

We created a wedding website for our wedding, and it was so helpful for our guests! They could find out where we were registered, and if they couldn’t find their invitation, it had the directions to the church and everything else! Best wishes!

I just created my wedding blog but it is more for the user. I have fun links to create your own t-shirts for bachelorette parties. Eventually you will be able to find links for anything wedding related on my site. BTW it wasn’t easy coming up with a domain name. They are definately sparse for weddings…

My wife and I have priceless memories of our wedding celebration…which was held in a georgeous location, the Riverbend Inn in Niagara on the Lake.

Unfortunately, however, the Riverbend is funamentally cursed in a way that haunts any wedding planner: the owner lacks commitment to customer satisfaction and staff professionalism, which leaves the quality inconsistent and the response to concerns on this matter disspointing.

For more details, you are welcome to visit my “public service” blog on the topic, which provides more details on the shocking experience we suffered at Riverbend Inn in Niagara on the Lake, Ontario

I was hoping I could post something here about my site that I recently created. http://www.sponsorawedding.com.

My fiancee and I have been wonderfully engaged for three years now and are finally determined to set the date, August of 2007. She is not only my bride to be, but she is my best friend, the light of my life, the one that I want to hold when things go wrong, and I love her with all of my heart. I want to be able to give her the moon, the stars and the skies. Unfortunately, neither she nor I were blessed with money and I cant give her that magical wedding she has always dreamt of. We both just graduated from college this year, with a significant amount of debt, and we both come from families that cant afford to help us out financially. If you could help me fulfill one of my fiancee’s dreams, there is nothing in the world that could describe the joy she would have.

I am not asking for a handout, I am giving you a place to advertise and a way to increase your traffic count. For your sponsorship, I will add a link on my site to yours. Or you can donate any amount of money, every $1 counts, to help me give my fiancee the wedding of her dreams. http://www.sponsorawedding.com

I set up a wedding blog, too - wish me luck! (It’s tips, events, and reviews for Minneapolis weddings).

A wedding blog is a fantastic idea… everything is electronic these days and your guests will probably love the buildup!

I was wondering the same thing but ended up just making a sideblog (currently it has it’s own category since my blog has no side) and it’s working out pretty well.

I loved having a wedding blog. I was able to keep family and friends up to date with our planning and all the fun we had getting ready for the big day. Now that our August wedding has passed I have kept up the blog on our comings and goings and it is so much fun. I even blogged about our honeymoon real-time so people could follow along with our journey.
