Just a Note…

Just a note to say “Hi!” As Mike noted over at SXSW Blog, a huge group of members of the blog community are sitting here at the Omni in Austin – the hotel lobby bar. Mike had his iBook with him and there is Airport access available, so I am taking advantage of it. Jay just told me I am a complete geek because I am sitting here at a bar blogging … but you know, I keep quoting Chris Pirillo – “I’m a geek, not a nerd…”
This iBook is pretty sweet as far as the look and the fact that it is super light, but I don’t like this keyboard – it has an odd touch to it. Over time I could get used to it, but since it’s not mine that won’t happen!

The people telling you that you’re sad to be blogging are just jealous. Watch them closely, you’ll see the occasional flicker of an eyelid, muscle spasm or bead of sweat as they think about being away from web access for prolonged periods of time.

It sounds like a great time was had by all. I wish I had the initiative to haul ass to Texas. Oh, I guess I also wish I had a vast amount of web know-how that would make me useful and interesting once I got there. And since I’m wishing I also wish that my cats could talk (but only to me, not each other or they’d start plotting…)
I’ve got an iBook and if it were legal we’d be married. But I hear you on the keyboard, it was an adjustment for me.
