All I Need to Learn about Life I learned from the Easter Bunny!

- Don’t put all your eggs in one basket.
- Walk softly and carry a big carrot.
- Everyone needs a friend who is all ears.
- There’s no such thing as too much candy.
- All work and no play can make you a basket case.
- A cute little tail attracts a lot of attention.
- Everyone is entitled to a bad hare day.
- Let happy thoughts multiply like rabbits.
- Some body parts should be floppy.
- Keep your paws off other people’s jellybeans.
- Good things come in small-sugarcoated packages.
- The grass is greener in someone else’s basket.
- An Easter bonnet can cover the wildest hare.
- To show your true colors you have to come out of the shell.
- The best things in life are still sweet and gooey.

Happy Easter to everyone!

I finally got around to adding some tweaks to the sidebar on the default skin! I’ll tweak the others later this week, but for now there are new lists on skin #1. “Words Left Behind” are the 5 most recent posts with comments. “In Little Groups” are the category archives. I also changed some of the “Mini Me” items. Yes, Chris Pirillo is my gadget pimp.

Jason & I went to see The Time Machine this afternoon. Ah, not too bad. I mean, I’ve seen worse, but I think it could have been better. Jason said it would have been better if they had followed the book more. I haven’t read the book in years, so I had to ask him what was different. He said the time machine itself is different in the book, and then there is no kid at all in the book - and there was in the movie. Eh, I would give it 3 out of 5 stars. I troubled me to see what we did to the moon in the movie, but I could see it happening in reality. Meanwhile, all I could think throughout the whole thing was “who is that guy playing the professor? He’s HOT. Hot, hot, hot. And he looks familiar.” That’s because it was Guy Pearce and he was in Memento. I didn’t recognize him without all of the tattoos.

Speaking of Memento, why was it up for a 2001 Oscar when it was made in 2000? Oh, Guy Pearce is CUTE!

Thanks to Leia’s post about the stuff and the comments left behind, I discovered you can buy a 5 lb. of Original Silly Putty! Imagine how psyched you would have been as a kid to have 5 pounds of the stuff! Ok, forget the kid part - it would be cool even now as an adult! Silly Putty rocks!

I have been meaning to join Wise-Women for many months now, especially after meeting Dori in person at SXSW. Tonight I finally took a moment to join, and after reading the latest articles on the site I am really excited about getting the lists! I made myself unsub from a lot of lists awhile back, but now the time is right again to start learning more techno things, and I think signing up is the best thing to do!

eBunintheOven.com - an eImpregnation service. “eBunintheOven.com is a novelty service that allows customers to e-impregnate a person of their choice. The recipient will receive an e-impregnation notice and learn who e-impregnated them, as well as an update on their virtual pregnancy every two weeks (via email) over the three-month pregnancy (the internet causes the fast gestation-cycle). After the e-birth, the recipient will get a mug with a picture of their customized baby (based on the parent’s traits).”

And just when I thought I had seen it all on the internet… [via Memepool]

Blog.craze - an article about blogs written as a blog. How is that for an interesting twist? [via Kottke]

Thanks to the article, I also stumbled across The Obscure Store & Reading Room. Tons of fun to read, and amazing the things that people do. The site is like an online freak show!

I was so exhausted last night that I fell asleep before 9pm on the couch, woke up at midnight and went to bed in a foggy haze, and didn’t get up until 9am. Wow. I went to check out Chris Pirillo’s new haircut when I got home and Tivo, having a mind of it’s own, didn’t record the show yesterday! I fell asleep before setting it to record it at 2am; now I’ll have to catch the repeat on Monday. *sigh* I did watch Wednesday’s episode of Call for Help with Jason - now he wants that cool microscope thing. I was quite amused by Chris’s Charlie Chaplin movie. That was really cool!

Speaking of movies, that’s what we are doing today. We are either going to see “The Time Machine” or “Clockstoppers”. (Where Jason first saw the clip on Call for Help!) I think we are going to see “The Time Machine” since it’s been out for a little while and may not be in the theater too much longer. We are heading to Wal-Mart first to buy candy - I refuse to pay those movie theater prices!

So tell me, do you think it’s wrong to take your own soda & snacks into the movie? Or do you do it all the time? Time to talk back…

Robyn is taunting me with the fact that Chris Pirillo is on TV sporting his new haircut and I can’t see it! That’s it! I’m going home! Oh wait, It’s past time to go home - I’ve been here since 8am. First thing, I’ll be watching Call for Help on the Tivo to check out the new look!

Guess what, Dori and Jason? I got that same spam too. Considering the source, I didn’t mind it that much - but it was wrong by principal. The first e-mail I got from them I figured I got because I dropped in my business card at their party - but then I realized the card I gave them had a different address. So that’s not an excuse either…

Yesterday when I wrote about the 10 people outside smoking at 9am, I forgot to mention that I don’t work with any of the people I saw outside. I have plenty of co-workers that do smoke, but all of them put in above and beyond a 40 hour work week. I’m totally cool with that - even if they didn’t. It just amazes me, as a non-smoker, that a cigarette could even be enjoyable that early in the morning. Today there were only 3 people out there at 8am…
