Wonder if Mar will be Surprised?
Here is my Fresh Made site for Mar of Here With Me… Do you think she will be surprised? I am quite proud of it myself. I had about 18 other ideas, and she just might get one or two more in the mail over the weekend!
I still want to create a “skin-able” site. I found these instructions online: O’Reilly Network: Creating Themes with CSS and JavaScript
This clip, a spoof about Clinton’s final days in office, is absolutely hysterical. Even has a guest appearance by Nicole’s favorite man! Whew. I love that. Makes me laugh so hard my side hurts now. I love that clip, it cracks me up every time I watch it.
Nicole, I am game any time you are. Austin is such a rockin’ fun town, and I am up for a roadtrip whenever! (Unless there is some scout thing that I can’t get out of.) And like you said, the Ren Fest is coming up - shall we gather and dress like lusty wenches? Hehehe.
As for Waterloo, I only mentioned it because you need it. I have never been there, although I have been to many other fun & wonderful places in Austin.
So, as for the road trip… any time muffin, any time. Say the word, the Honda is on the road. You deserve it. Hope all is well with Tommy, please let me know how he is doing. And try to do something nice for yourself this weekend, even if it’s just an hour with a good book.
I was cracking up when I read about the panty revolution (note: link corrected thanks to observant Bison) over at Green Eyes Brown. Classic, very classic. As are all her stories - I can’t stop laughing! (Thanks, Erika for the link!)
After lunch I went and dropped off my paycheck at the bank and then went by Eyemasters to pick up my contacts and have my glasses tightened up. For the person that asked what frames they are - they are from the “Blue Moon” line, which is maybe the Eyemasters brand? There are some Eddie Bauer frames that are almost identical. I found some Nine West frames while I was there, Style #45 in Havana (brown) that were really cute too - may have to get those next month! It’s hard to believe it has been over a month since I wore my contacts. Wow. Shows just how much I love these frames!
Chelsey’s birthday is October 22. Not October 24 like I keep tryiing to convince myself it is … October 22. I can’t forget it because she WILL hunt me down and use Sprite on me.
Kymberlie came over last night after she finished working out at the gym. We decided to watch Bounce, since neither one of us had seen it. I thought it was pretty good. That could be influenced though by the fact that I want Ben Affleck to come and hunt me down like his character did in the movie. *sigh*
It’s raining again. I guess as an apartment dweller, I don’t care as much about rain. It has been raining all week. Ugh. I am tired of it. Then again, it really hasn’t rained that much since the flood this summer, so I am sure we needed it. Maybe I am tired of it because of the flood - it almost scares me to hear it coming down, non-stop, for so long. Every time I leave home I worry that the parking lot will be flooded, that it will happen again. Not a good feeling.
Thanks to AstroCenter I was able to find out my “Astro Profile”:
Christine’s Sun Sign is Libra …
QUALITIES: sociability – amiability – charming – sense of fairness – elegance – artistic gifts – thoughtfulness.
FAULTS: indecision – lack of sincerity – indolence – superficiality – hesitating temperament – lack of willpower.
ELEMENT: Air.
MODE: Cardinal.
RULER: Venus.
COLOR: Rose, Pale Blue.
FAMOUS LIBRA: John Lennon, Catherine Deneuve, Oscar Wilde, Michael Douglas Peter Sellars, Christopher Reeve.
BALANCE is the sign of harmony and balance. The 7th sign of the zodiac coincides with the equinox of autumn, when day and night are of equal duration. The BALANCE tries to have this kind of equilibrium in his relationship with others through sharing. In addition, because Venus is his master planet, he cultivates his charm and mastery in love. Sometimes he lacks sincerity in his quest to be social at all costs…
Your Rising Sign is Aquarius …
He is an adventurer, an artist, and a scientist. He looks beyond the world that we know about into a universe without the usual borders of time and space. He is passionate about discovering new horizons, and travels the world looking for different ways of life, unbelievable sights, and wild adventures.
He travels through space, but he also travels through time, always toward the future, in the hope that he will be able to make life better for mankind. His dream is to improve the environment we live in thanks to some of his brilliant ideas or revolutionary technological discoveries.
The Aquarius ascendant is on a solitary spiritual quest. He tries to detach himself from human passions in order to reach the summits of intellectual thought. If he likes to share his opinions with others and to spend time with his friends, he can also be quite hard on other people, antisocial and cynical. He is extremely moody. He can be the nicest person for an entire evening, only to blow people off the next day using the excuse that he has “important things he needs to do.” His eternal search for an idealistic life comes before his or other people’s feelings. In fact, Aquarius ascendants often sacrifice their love lives to be able to be free enough to pursue their ideals. This kind of force of character makes him a very magnetic person, because we often like the people that resist our love.

It’s been a crazy day … crazy week actually, but I am not complaining. Just means more money in the end for those of us in a sales type of position. I have been checking in though, visiting others blogs, looking for comments here, etc. Like Nicole said, comments are like little Christmas presents! Anyways, I took a moment and looked at my log files … and guess what, Naomi? Someone found the site through a search for “fuxor l33t”! Whoo hoo! FUXOR! WTF? Hehe. I love it.
Also spotted some new people linking to my site - what a thrill! And some good finds too - I will have to share later tonight or tomorrow.
I just popped in over at Sov’s blog, Bona Fide Cynic, and I LOVE the door picture she has on the site. Which brings up an odd & interesting point. I have this “thing” for pictures of doors or windows. If I go into a picture shop or a framing store, every single picture I point at and say “ooooooh, I like that” will be a picture of a door, a window, or some sort of entry way - like an arch leading into a garden. I wonder what that says about me? Does it mean that I a curious person? Always wondering what is behind the door? Or that I am seeking new adventures? Or does it just mean I am strange and like pictures of doors & windows?
I don’t like those pictures exclusively - my favorite Paula Vaughan image that I have cross-stitched is a picture of a swing with a quilt … and a path leading to the porch of a Victorian home in the background … with a door and lots of windows.
Watching Entertainment Tonight & they were discussing an upcoming special on Destiny’s Child that is going to show their concert from the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo. I think that’s pretty cool, great press for the Rodeo committee. They do a lot of great scholorships. I do have to say though - if you watch it and notice that everyone seems to be dressed “Western” - we don’t all dress that way normally! You just dress up like a cowboy or cowgirl when you go to the Rodeo. Even if you are going to see Destiny’s Child. Or Duran Duran, like Kymberlie & I did.
I find it so amusing that I seem to have been indexed now by Yahoo in the “toes” category! Yes, yes, my toes are the subject of many searches. Hmmmm… I have feet pictures, do I need to post them to humor the people coming here to see toe photos? This is from 11:17 last night to 9:10 this morning:
