Wow - look! It’s the Houston Astrodome from outer space. Just run on over to the Microsoft TerraServer Image Page to check it out.

I lived in Germany for 15 months, from November 1990 - February 1992. I was lucky enough to live in Bavaria, at Illesheim. We were part of the Ansbach Community. While Illesheim is tiny and there isn’t much there, I was thrilled to be only 15 minutes from the most beautiful city, Rothenburg ob der Tauber and this site has a webcam even for the town square. If you can read German, visit Bad Windsheim - offizielle Internetpräsentation Bad Windsheim was about 3km from where I lived in Germany. If I had stayed in Germany when I was pregnant, my son Jason would have been born there. Instead I returned to the states when I was 7 months pregnant, so now he has the honor of being a true Texan. Isn’t he lucky?

What did I think of Germany? I loved it. I would go back in a minute - I wouldn’t even pack! Anyone want to come with me?

Naomi loves to send us all off to view cool websites - now she sent me to check out the World’s Smallest Web Site. I had my Elvis siting for today.

Want to visit Naomi? You can at tremblingveil.net And hey - Naomi - thanks for pointing out the Digital Discipline site to me!!!

I need to order some stuff soon from Digital Discipline. My PC has been acting up (Naomi would tell me that is because I should be using a Mac…) and I need to whip it into shape.

Ever wonder when you are online if the person is really a man or a woman? I know I have, more then once.

I feel much more informed now that I have taken the time to read ZDNet: Mock the Vote Special Report: You Said It! I mean, every politician says something stupid at one time or another. But I hate getting those e-mails with the long list of dumb things that the candidates have said. Why assume which candidate I like or dislike? You just may be bashing the person that I think would be the perfect president. No, I am not a democrat - nor a republican. I make my decisions based on the issues and the politician’s stand on those issues. And I do that with a big grain of salt, because you know that everyone else is going to jump in and influence their decision later on when it really matters (when you are campaigning you can say *whatever* you want…). I just feel it is wise to be well educated rather then just flipping a switch because your party of choice has blessed him. As your mother used to say, “If all of your friends jumped off the Brooklyn Bridge…”

You know, I am just not really sure if the Lieberman Yarmulke is a politically correct thing. You know what I mean? I don’t know. Something just strikes me as odd about it. Hmmmm…

I can’t read a thing, but I am really, really loving the design at Miscellaneaous [with everything on it design]. Too bad I can’t read it - looks like an interesting person designed it!

Hope I don’t get in trouble for this link (ha ha ha) but for up to the minute coverage of the Sydney Games this site can’t be beat. They deserve an Olympian Gold Medal. Oops! A list A word with a list B word! Oh no!!! I had better go into hiding so they can’t bust me.

This, I must say, is simply pathetic. Official Site of the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games - copyright information. Ok, so I can’t use “Any combination of the word “Games” and the number “2000″ or the words “Two Thousand” ” I can’t have software called “2000 Games” or something like that? Just because? Ugh. How sad. I am sorry. I can understand wanting to protect the rings and other items, but that is just a bit extreme. Be sure to read “List A” and make sure you never combine those words with the ones in “List B”. Don’t want the IOC coming after you.

As I sit here, not doing my job, I wonder if I should go and do the Job Selector to figure out what job is right for me? Hmmmm…
